Afroz Shah - Prosecutor of Plastic Pollution

Making a Marc Afroz Shah and Cleaning Beaches               A young attorney in Mumbai, India, Afroz Shah was concerned about the litter that clogged Mumbai’s Versova Beach. Together with a much older friend, the now-deceased Harbansh Mathur, Shah determined to do something to restore Versova Beach to sandy beauty. Celebrate Earth Day with almost zero effort Sustainability doesn't have to be hard. Planning to brush your teeth to start the day? Turn off the faucet while you brush. If you do that every day for the whole month, it'll conserve about 200 gallons of water (That was easy, huh?)  Bum a ride with someone to work. Responsible people call it carpooling, but either way, it saves on the amount of carbon monoxide emitted into the environment. With regards to people who inspire us, it is human nature to ask: How would I respond in similar circumstances? In Chris’ situation, it is almost impossible to understand his immense verve and appreciation for life and giving back. One...

How to make purchases with a purpose

How to make purchases with a purpose These days, it’s cool to be environmentally conscientious.  That’s because people are finally starting to realize that caring about the earth is important and that in order to have generations of world-changers after us, the earth has to be a livable planet. That is why so many consumers are turning to eco-friendly brands for peace of mind that the products they are purchasing are working towards this greater good of sustainability and not adding to the many problems already present in this day and age. Here at Marc Skid, we share in this...
