Charity Spotlight: CMMB

CMMB, aka Catholic Medical Mission Board, is a faith-based non-governmental organization that provides healthcare solutions to women and children in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

You could probably guess Marc Skid was excited to partner with CMMB because, after all, one of our styles is named after a nun. But more than that, CMMB is an organization that focuses on delivering aid with dignity, respect and love. They provide long-term medical and developmental aid to communities in a sustainable way in order to strengthen and support existing systems.

And of course, like all of our hand-picked charities, CMMB is rated 4/4 stars by Charity Navigator. After all, 98% of donations they receive go directly to the programs they provide, so you know your donation is ending up where it should.

But what kind of programs does CMMB actually offer?

All kinds. CMMB has projects that span from malaria elimination in Haiti to neonatal resuscitation to rehabilitation for amputees (plus many, many more.)

And they’re making an impact. In the last year, they have provided $359 million worth of medications and medical products, trained 2,741 health workers and supported 541,575 people with health services. Not yet convinced? Read the stories of Busi, Thandazile and Titus to see real-life examples of the ways in which CMMB are changing lives.
